Searching City Directories, part 3: What Worked

It only takes a minute or two to check the City Directories for a listing. When I stopped working on Frank, I had a different timeline for him:

Some of the entries are from census and SSDI, available in multiple places on the internet. Some entries are things that I was able to learn by using the method described above – pick a year, pick a partial surname, look at the page. It sounds simple – and is – once someone tells you.
